This position is responsible for assisting the CFO and Company Directors in evaluating new business opportunities. The position involves interacting with entrepreneurs, and assessing the merits of their business proposals for new business. This is a junior level professional position.
Assignments include assisting the CFO and Managing Directors on all aspects of business financials including:
* Performing industry research and analysis.
* Performing complex and comprehensive valuation and financial statements.
* Extensive modeling of companies? financial performance, pro-forma financial analysis, comparable analysis, scenario and sensitivity analysis.
* Evaluating impact of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and restructurings.
* Performing due diligence - financial, legal and technical.
* Preparing investment memorandums.
Requirements
* BS in a quantitative discipline from a top-tier school in the U.S. or abroad (economics, finance, engineering, etc.)
* Strong analytical skills.
* One to two-year analyst experience at a bulge bracket investment bank, consulting firm or equivalent, preferably in mergers and acquisitions, leveraged finance or a coverage group with heavy exposure to consumer goods and service companies. Direct private equity experience is a plus.
* Team player, exceptional communication skills and strong ethics.
* Very proficient in Microsoft Excel, (building complex models), Word and Bloomberg.
* Spanish speaking, writing and reading skills are a requirement.
* Experience working internationally (preferably Latin America) is a plus.
